Now For The Actual Stuff You Came For
30 June valuations get baked at today's close, and this is at a time when the Nasdaq and the S&P500 are at resistance points. If you are a long-only manager, you want to bake in those highs and then - if you have them, and you haven't been playing catchup this year, which in fact many have - start to liquidate some of those gains in July to rotate some capital into laggard stocks and indices.
