The Trade Desk Earnings Preview
TTD 0.00%↑ is an owner-operated business that happens to be publicly traded. Founder-CEO Jeff Green is an ad industry exec turned technology company CEO. The end-industry experience shows in the way the company has cultivated its position as the middleman of choice for brands wanting to publish on the open internet ie. not inside Facebook or other walled-garden environments. TTD’s stock has risen and fallen with the growth cohort at large, but the underlying company fundamentals have remained strong throughout. As with most growth stocks, the thing is all beaten up right now - which doesn’t change the fact that since its 2017 IPO, TTD has delivered a killer stock performance vs. the Nasdaq or the S&P.
With growth stocks having rebounded very strongly during July off the market lows in June, we ask - is TTD likely to do well after earnings?
